Hey!!!! I wondered what happened to you and I typed in your name today when i was feeling a bit nostalgic. Dunno if you remember me, but i was in a summer prog. a long time ago w/ you. I enjoyed my time w/ grace pei wen chen and you...well, please drop me a hello when you get the chance.
I'll prob. be living in italy next year, too (either there or spain/nl/japan). am trying to get to egypt and live there for a year (am married to an egyptian who will soon be stationed in the sinai), but there are some issues w/ logistics. as for italy, I love the language and even named my daughter after my fav. ital prof. her middle name is alessandra. my other 2 have middle names of giovanni and marcello. just to hear ppl speak ital. as i walked down the street made me happy-- i'd once lived w/ nuns in bergamo for 5 mos. for the heck of it =) i don't have an actual job, just a soldiers wife and mom. anyway, take care and try to keep in touch. u always seemed kind. am going to try out some of your recipes.
